The Oh Bruni 6-song extended-play recording is completed and is, alas, out of print. In an email announcing the release, Alicia wrote:

Oh Bruni’s album “Oh Bruni” was a ball to create and, despite the great physical distances between each member of the band (we’re busy farming in Africa, doctoring in the desert, getting educated in the mountains, parenting cozily at home and therapizing in the big city), we are proud of this little album and hope that you too find it enjoyable.

Most importantly, their remarkable performances will always be a part of us—the us being those fortunate to have seen Oh Bruni live in living rooms, house concerts, at clubs, coffee houses and myriad venues in Portland, Bend, Ashland, and points between. It was a good journey and we fortunately have this recording to perpetuate it.

Note: a late addition to the Oh Bruni recording was the slide guitar of Mark Orton, a renowned fixture of the music scene in Portland. His contribution to the project was critical because Steve Eggers, the lead guitar and vocalist on all the tunes, left shortly after the initial session on a volunteer project in East Africa. Enter Mark to lay down some slick licks at the last minute.

Here’s how CD Baby described Oh Bruni’s sound: Highly energetic, instrumentally and lyrically engaging original music that ranges from ballads to light rock, bluegrass, and jazz numbers that get people up and dancing!
