Chinoiserie Verre Églomisé mirrored commode, with the motif painted on the reverse side of the glass. The 4 drawers depict an Emperor and Empress garden scene with large flowers and wildlife. Chinese Flying Horse of Gansu, also known as the Bronze Running Horse or the Galloping Horse Treading on a Flying Swallow, is a Chinese bronze sculpture from circa the 2nd century CE. Discovered in 1969 near the city of Wuwei, in the province of Gansu, it is now in the Gansu Provincial Museum. This bronze replica is 7" x 9"

This is a Chinese ceramic pillow, also known as an "opium pillow" or "porcelain pillow". 5" x 6" x 2 ¾" They were believed to have a cooling effect, which was desirable in southern China's hot summers. These headrests were a common piece of paraphernalia in opium dens across China and Southeast Asia in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The pillows were also used to protect elaborate hairstyles while sleeping. For more information
An antique hand-thrown stoneware storage jar: Dimensions: 2" (mouth), 5 ½" (ht.) x 5 ½" (at its widest). Its appearance (dark green/black glaze, ovoid body that tapers to a narrow base, with a short neck and broad shoulders featuring stylized dragons as loop handles) strongly supports it to be an antique Martaban jar. These hand-thrown vessels are named after the port of Martaban in Burma (Myanmar), a major transit hub where they were traded, although the jars were made in various kilns in southern China. Its appearance (bronze glaze, ovoid body that tapers to a narrow base, with a short neck and broad shoulders) strongly supports it to be an antique Martaban jar. These hand-thrown vessels are named after the port of Martaban in Burma (Myanmar), a major transit hub where they were traded, although the jars were made in various kilns in southern China. This piece is characterized by a brown glaze and features loop handles located on the shoulder (used to secure a cover with a rope).
Dimensions: 4 ½" high, 3 ¾" at its widest, 1" mouth. Small asian inscription chopped on bottom. Unusual in that it appears to have been intentionally flattened on each side while still retaining its original (somewhat) cylindrical shape.

Netsuke - A fine Japanese Meiji period ivory netsuke of a Noh dancer depicted wearing a kimono and brandishing a fan. The face revolves to depict the dancer without a mask, and another expression wearing a mask. This beautiful 5 cm. tall netsuke is signed on the underside and in excellent condition.

WWII Naval Officers Kyu-Gunto parade sword & leather-covered wood scabbard with original brass fixtures. The sword features a mekugi (peg for holding blade into hilt) and measures 78 cm. with a clean nickel-plated blade (without any dents, pitting or other major defects). Total length is 84 cm. On the underside of the guard is the Toyokawa Naval Arsenal inspection mark (an anchor) and below it the logo of the Tokyo-based Wakasei Seisaku Jo (a "W" in a diamond), a Japanese sword company.
