CHILBERG FAMILY: Otto Childberg

Otto was the next brother. He homesteaded on the NE quarter of Section 2 in Getchel Township in Sept., 1884. He also owned and operated a livery stable in Valley City. Otto married Lizzie Mae Goodwin. They lived on his homestead in Getchel Township. Mae was born May 1, 1865, and passed away March 21, 1943. She was called "Mae" rather than Lizzie. They had one son, David O. Chilberg, who died April 9, 1920, at age 15. This family is buried in Woodbine Cemetery in Valley City. Otto died July 1, 1905.
