This person, Nicolas Peter Stauffer, is sometimes confused with his brother, Hans Nicholas Stauffer. They both have wives of the same name, Maria Anna Bruder; although they are separate persons, as evidenced by the birth and death dates. They also have different children, though they are close in birthdates.
