A scan of the Salvatore George Granucci obituary from the October 17, 1928 edition of the San Francisco Chronicle researched by SF Public Library: "Father of Frank, Adolph, Adele, and Lottie Granucci, brother of Louis, Adolph, and Generio Granucci of SF and August Granucci of Italy, a native of Italy, aged 77 years, 7 months, and 27 days, a member Butcher's Union, No. 115, A. F. O. L." attached as media file to Family Tree Maker

Genealogical Birth Date Calculator crunched Obit numbers and determined birth day Feb. 14, 1851 - Holy Cross Cemetery head stone shows 1854. This conforms to 1910 Fed. Census as age 56 years.

A search for a marriage record/notice of marriage was requested but not found. The State Library "does not have a file of marriage records…We have made a search of the S.F. newspapers from 12/6 - 1/18/1880 but fail to find a notice of your marriage. It is possible that such a notice was not published as it was not required by law." *(photocopy obtained from LOC)
