Thinking of You, Blake

Blake Lowey – November 8, 1954 – April 12, 2017

So I pulled out my vinyl LP of Dave Mason and revisited the time Blake and I drove up to Grants Pass to see Dave play at the Rogue Theater. I still had my ’92 BMW 325i and we opted for the moon roof open and the stereo loud. We were hoarse when we got there and sang right through his show. I mean, who can’t sing along to “(You Are) Every Woman (In The World to Me)” that has to be one of the finest love songs ever. He sang it, I sang it, and Blake and I shared it.

Hi, Nick, and thank you for reminding me of my good fortune of having such good people in my life.  Being grateful is not all that difficult given my life. I’ll be headed your way soon, and I’m looking forward to pontificating over a beer or two with you.
